THE GRADUATION DRESS REHEARSALS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. They are no longer on May 21. Instead they will be on 5/14 (same times as originally scheduled - see master group schedule for times).
Basically, WITH THE EXCEPTIONS BELOW, we are just switching the May 21st schedule with the May 14 schedule. SO - follow what is written on the schedule for 5/21 ON 5/14 and 5/14 ON 5/21.
HOWEVER, this change will NOT APPLY to Ms. Julie's AND Ms. Cheri's 9-9:45am and 9:45-10:30am classes. These classes will remain as originally scheduled (these kids are not involved in graduation anyway). ROOMS TBA
ALSO - there WILL be orchestras on 5/14 but NOT 5/21 (Julie is away on 5/21). Don't worry, if your child plays violin and is in the graduation rehearsal, he/she will be done in time to get to orchestra.
Please let Shelley know if you have any questions. (beardshelley@aol.com)

Attn Late Book 5 Violin Students!
I just wanted to give you a heads up about Book 6 (since some of you will be there soon). There are 2 non-Suzuki pieces that we have added to the Book 6 curriculum: Tempo Di Minuetto by Kreisler and Polish Dance by Severn. You'll all need to purchase the music and recordings of these 2 pieces.
For Tempo, I'd recommend purchasing the sheet music of this piece, and the CD "The Kreisler Album" by Joshua Bell. For Polish Dance, I'd recommend getting the book & CD Volume 4 from Barbara Barber's "Solos for Young Violinists" collection. You'll most likely need other pieces from this collection, so it is a worthwhile investment at this point.
