The event will be in downtown Old New Castle (details of location tba) from approx. 1-2pm. For some more information on the general event, see http://dionc.immanuelepiscopal.com/.

Music School Etiquette

There have been some complaints about Saturday Suzuki student behavior/etiquette. Please adhere to the following:

  • NO RUNNING in the Music School.
  • Food may only be eaten in the hallways, outside in the courtyard, or in the main lobby. There have been food remnants and crumbs found in the studios. There should be no food or drink in the studios (besides water).

HINDEMITH VIOLA SCHEDULE

10/22 Long, Long Ago in G major; Happy Farmer; Hunter's Chorus; Witches' Dance and Handel Bourree (at the end of the class so Emily can leave early); Gossec Gavotte; Minuet 2

11/5 Long, Long Ago review; French Folk Song; Etude; Allegro; O Come Little Children; any pieces from previous class that need review

11/19 dress rehearsal. PLEASE NOTE TIME: 9-10 a.m room 224

11/20 Harvest Concert at TATNALL SCHOOL arrive 12:30 for tuning. Start 1 p.m.

FOR ALL VIOLISTS

I just met with Ms. Jennifer today, and it turns out that the cellists play Long, Long Ago in a different key. So we can play the piece with them, we'll NO LONGER be learning the harmony part the older group class has been working on-- sorry about that. Instead, everyone will play the piece in the key of G, starting on the note G on the D string (third finger). We will go over it in class together.
