Concert & Festival Orchestras

There will be NO orchestra on Sat Dec 1st due to Winterfest dress rehearsals.

Tchaikovsky & Kreisler GROUPS!

This Saturday, our schedule will be as follows, so that you can attend part of the Gettysburg College chamber orchestra concert at our school:

Tchaikovsky: 11:30-12pm (then go to the concert)
Kreisler: 12:30-1pm (attend concert 11:45m-12:25pm)

10/21 Recital Receptions

PreTwinkle & Book 1 violin students: please bring juice boxes or bottled water
Book 2-4 violin students: please bring a salty or healthy snack to share
Book 5+ violin students:  Please bring a sweet snack to share
Cello students: please bring napkins
Viola students: please bring small paper plates

Special Performance 10/27!

That day a small chamber orchestra from Gettysburg College will be presenting a short concert at the school at 11:45am. If possible, please try to attend.

FYI Heifetz Group Members - group class will be moved to 12:30-1:30 that day to accommodate the concert. Those with a theory conflict should contact me and I will talk to Eric about adjusting the time of that class for the day.

CHAMBER MUSIC!

The chamber music program this year will be similar in format to last year (with 10 total sessions). The coaches for the groups will be Alessandra Cuffaro, violin (a fabulous new violin faculty member at the school). See her website below! And, of course, our own, Eric Coyne.

FOR WILMINGTON BRANCH:

Just a reminder - the 2012-13 Suzuki Academy Parent Orientation will be held on Sat., Sept. 8 from 12noon-2pm (until 4pm for brand new families).

Please let you students know now so they can get it on their schedules as it is required.

12-1 = orientation

1-2 = parent ed for returning parents (topics TBA but let me know if you have suggestions)

1-3 = philosophy overview class for new parents
